Ingredients
- 1-2 Chicken Breasts
- 1 tsp SaltÂ
- 1 tsp PepperÂ
- 1 tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Chili PowderÂ
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- ¼ tsp Italian SeasoningÂ
- Pinch of CayenneÂ
- Olive OilÂ
- TortillasÂ
- Spinach or Lettuce
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- BBQ Sauce
- RanchÂ
- Optional: Bacon
- Optional: Avocado (sliced)
Instructions
- Mix the seasonings in a small bowl and set aside.Â
- Cut the chicken breasts into strips. Sprinkle the seasoning on both sides of the chicken strips and gently rub it in.
- If you’re using bacon, prepare it now according to the package instructions or your preferred method. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease for cooking the chicken. I like to cook the bacon in a skillet, then remove it and cook the chicken in the same skillet with the remaining bacon grease.Â
- If you’re not using bacon, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken strips on one side for 2–3 minutes over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low, flip the chicken, and cook for another 2–5 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Once the chicken is cooked through, prepare the wraps. Take a tortilla and drizzle BBQ sauce and ranch down the center. Put down a few strips of chicken, then bacon, and then top with avocado, cheddar cheese, and spinach or lettuce.Â
- Roll, serve, and enjoy!
Notes:
- I really love the Tortilla Land ready to cook fresh flour tortillas (which I highly recommend). Start cooking them while the bacon or chicken cooks. The goal is to have them warm and ready when the chicken is finished.
- You can choose to skip the tortillas, and make these as a lettuce wrap instead!
- Choose a BBQ sauce and Ranch that you like. You can also substitute another dressing if you’d prefer, such as a cilantro lime dressing.
- If you’re looking for a lighter and more budget-friendly option, feel free to skip the bacon. Just heat up the olive oil and cook your chicken.
These wraps pair nicely with sweet potato fries and fresh fruit. I hope you love them as much as we do! They happen to be my 2-year-old’s very favorite dinner.Â
If you try it out, I’d love to hear how it goes in the comments below!Â
